Emory is a native of Augusta, GA and began his career as the youngest member of the professional team for PGA Tour Investments, Inc. in Ponte Vedra, FL subsequently employed by Executive Sports in the area of merchandising and licensing where he serviced upwards of 45 PGA, Senior and LPGA Tour events annually. Additionally, he was a major provider of licensed products and branding to ACOP, Atlanta Centennial Olympic Properties, for the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta, GA.

Emory returned to Augusta, GA in 1996 for oversight of family real estate and businesses resulting in his management of the oldest operating commercial real estate services firm in the market, Sherman & Hemstreet. He then operated his own real estate consulting firm until 2015 where provided consulting, mortgage servicing, loan modification and transactional services to lenders such as, but not limited, to SunTrust, BofA, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, BB&T, Chase, JP Morgan, smaller regional lenders and major asset management companies before joining Icahn Automotive, parent company of Pep Boys, AAMCO Transmissions, Precision Tune Auto Care, Cap Auto Parts and A Plus Auto Parts, as Division Real Estate Director. In this role Emory completed transactions in over 20 states including challenging markets such as New Yok, Rhode Island, south Florida, Colorado and many others. His scope of oversight included engagement and management of localized brokers, real estate leasing & acquisitions as well as business dispostions and purchases. He was engaged in 2019 by McCoy Wright as a consultant and overtook company operations later that year in a full time role.

Emory is a Qualifying Broker in Georgia and South Carolina with reciprocal privileges in several other states and serves McCoy Wright, Inc. as its EVP and BIC with a specific focus on corporate oversight, business development and regional tenant rep programs and relationships. He maintains a unique perspective on brokerage management activities, development projects, small company/franchisee growth having served both on the Landlord and User sides of transactions for large corporations and smaller operations.

He is a past Advisory Board Member, Corelogic National Vendor Advisory Panel (First American Title) (2010 – 2011). Certified REOS®, Real Estate Owned Specialist. Past Chairman, Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS®, Commercial Council. Member and Corporate Designee, International Council of Shopping Centers® (ICSC). Member, Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS®, Western Upstate Board of REALTORS®, South Carolina Association of REALTORS®, Georgia Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS® and the REALTORS® Commercial Alliance. Past Consulting Member, Gerson Lehrman Group Councils®, a global real estate consultancy. 2006 International Council of Shopping Centers® John T. Riordan Foundation Scholarship recipient (one of six worldwide scholars). International Council of Shopping Centers® Graduate, Leasing Institute I & II, Michigan State University. He is a current ClearRE® Real Estate Expert, in the Augusta, GA and Western Upstate, SC markets for Clear Capital Corporation.

He transacts in all states and handles franchisee & corporate location development nationally – encompassing leases, acquisitions, build-to-suits and fee development. His commercial real estate experience spans over 25 years. He regularly works with franchisor/franchisee & corporate engagements on market identification, site location, negotiation, acquisitions, lease negotiations, BTS, fee development, lease revisions, lease work-outs, dispositions and expansions. Emory maintains residences with his partner, Jackie, in Augusta, GA, Broad River (Tignall, GA) and Anderson, SC. He is a 5th generation member of the Augusta Country Club. Jackie and Emory spend the majority of their time on the Broad River and Lake Strom Thurmond, have four grown children and enjoy time outdoors, fishing and boating.
